London Philharmonic Orchestra
The London Philharmonic Orchestra made its first recordings on 10 October 1932, just three days after its first public performance following its founding by Sir Thomas Beecham. It has recorded and broadcast regularly ever since, and in 2005, established its own CD label. These CDs are unique: amongst them are archive recordings, studio recordings, live concert recordings and recordings of world-premiere performances. Repertoire encompasses music from the baroque to the present day; music for the concert hall, music for the opera house, and music for children.
