Belvedere

Belvedere releases audio and audio-visual productions in the fields of drama, feature film, opera, documentary and concert performance on DVD, Blu-Ray, and on CD. The company was founded in 2006 by renowned producer Francois Duplat and has developed the successful series Die Theateredition, which was the first label for theatre and drama on DVD within the German speaking market. Meanwhile belvedere edition has developed an attractive catalogue also for the international market and includes more than 80 references, with high-class drama productions, classical music, documentaries and children’s programmes on DVD as well as on CD. Maria Walburga Stürzer joined Belvedere in 2011 as director of programmes and production, and from 2013 she has been managing director together with Francois Duplat. Belvedere will continue to extend the portfolio of productions and will also focus on attractive releases for the international as well as digital market. With its bouquet of awarded and high class releases the label has gained a significant position in the market for music and arts programmes.
